Dr. Rodrigo Azofeifa was born and raised in San Jose, Costa Rica. He joined Aurora Christian Schools in 2003, where he currently teaches Spanish and music classes to students in Preschool through 5th grade.
Before his time at Aurora Christian Schools (ACS), Dr. Azofeifa spent many years teaching Spanish to students from Kindergarten through 12th grade at Cornerstone Christian Academy in Sycamore, Illinois, starting in 2003.
Since 2014, Dr. Azofeifa has also served as an Adjunct Faculty member at Wesley Seminary at Indiana Wesleyan University.
Dr. Azofeifa and his wife, Ricci, live in Malta, Illinois, where they serve as lead pastors at Real Connection Church in DeKalb, Illinois. They are blessed with two sons, Jeremy and Josue.
